Today was a fun and enjoyable day! I am very thankful for my family and friends, and hope that despite all the pain I have suffered in my childhood and teens, I can now move on as an adult and shake off that grief but use what I have learnt to my advantage.

German Weihnachtsmarkt

Every year near Christmas, the Germans come to cities throughout the United Kingdom and hawk their wares for us. Needless to say I am unbelievably pleased to be sampling the glühwein, stollen, wurst and the strange wonderful oddments which seem to crop up at the market.

Hopefully it will still be there when I go back in January, as they have these gorgeous chocolate-covered marshmallows and the cured sausage is just divine.
